The experts say that the way to win at Cowboy Mounted Shooting is through good course management,
smooth turns and quick gun changes. Since my wife and I have been using Ted Blocker holsters we
haven't dropped a gun and our times have gotten better and better. The sight lock system provides
a secure hold that releases when you draw, smooth and quickly. When you replace your gun after
the gun change you know it will stay put for the rest of stage. With today's competitors at all
levels going faster and faster, trying to make up the five second penalty for dropping a gun can
be very difficult. Ted Blockers keep the gun in place and allow the gun change to be more of a
instinctive act instead of a major "hunt and peck" effort. They work!

Hello Shelley,
We received our rigs the other day. The Line Rider and The Heartbreaker Rig that you customized
for me and my wife are great, comfortable and are just what we wanted and were we are searching for.
We've tried a lot of rigs but nothing came close to what we want till we found your site on the internet.
Pictured are me and my wife with our new rigs and original San Francisco Police Colt lightning and Winchester 1873.
Thanks and till our next order.
Kind regards,

Shelley,
Just had to share my very first
SASS shoot with you and to show you how wonderful my new Dixie Bell rig fits! It truly is a wonderful
set up. My pistols slide out of the holsters with the most natural movement and my shot shells are
placed in the perfect location....right at my waist with no second belt to deal with. I love this set up!
By the way...I was determined to focus on hitting targets and not worry about time for my very first
match. Only 12 misses total for six stages but I came in last overall. But not to worry....I was the
only lady shooter so I took first place in my category and overall first Lady!
Thanks for helping me enjoy this first match so much. Good holsters make a tremendous difference,
as you know! Thank you, thank you!

Hi Don and Shelley,
I got my order the other day for my DA Pancake and LFI rig. I am REALLY pleased with both holsters!
I have been wearing the DA Holster to work on my 12 hour shifts the last few days and it is about as
comfortable as a belt holster gets.
The LFI rig is hands down THE BEST IWB setup I have used ever! It is able to hide that Sig P220 almost
to the point I don't know it is there and it rides comfortable to boot.
Thanks a lot for making such nice rigs. I've always liked the P220 but never thought of it as a concealed
carry option except in winter. I think I can use it as my year round gun now!
Take care and more orders to follow later this year.

Dear Don and Shelley:
Until I spoke to the two of you at the SASS Convention some years ago, I was uncertain about
whom to choose to make my first set of custom holsters. There were a number of different vendors
to choose from, but the two of you took the time to really help me decide what it was that I wanted.
The Buffalo Rig that you customized for me is great, comfortable and just what I wanted for
my cowboy action shooting. The second set of matching holsters that you then completed for my Outlaws
are just as nice and I have the flexibility of changing the holsters as my gun choices change.
The latest challenge I gave you was to make a custom knife sheath and derringer holster. Fantastic!
They not only match, but everyone that sees it comments of the quality and workmanship. Thanks for
all of your fine work and for the personal attention to detail and your customers. I know that if
anything needs adjusting or repair, I can count on you to find a way to get me back on the line. Each
and every time that I order another piece of custom work from you, my expectations are exceeded.
I'll be back for more and I know that I won't be disappointed.
Sincerely,
Dale A. Bespalec, Ph.D.

Hello Shelley and everyone at Ted Blocker Holsters!
I just received my model 911 concealment holster in cordovan finish for
my Beretta 92F as a Christmas present from my mother. All of the great
things I read about Ted Blocker holsters are absolutely true. This
beautiful and practical piece of leatherwork is a tribute to the art.
Perfect fit and finsh for my firearm, stunning cordovan staining and
stitching, and superb workmanship! Beautiful! I couldn't be happier and
I look forward to a lifetime of use from this great product. Kudos to
you all!

Shelley,
My order arrived yesterday and I want you and Don to know the matched rig is exquisite, first class quality. Also important is that it fits well. I am completely satisfied, and I know if I wasn't you'd make it right but it is so much better to have it right the first time. Plus it showed up when you said it would. Yippee! And this is no small thing: it was packaged very well for travel in a box to me. You took a lot of pains to wrap this just right. Thanks!
This rig is going to get a lot of attention along the firing line and at the events. It's said that looking good is more important than shooting well. With this rig, at least the first part is covered just by showing up. I know it is going to shoot well, too, because everything is just right.
I am very glad I could see your artistry at the SASS convention, because there is no substitute for handling the goods and seeing the quality differences.
I can't wait to show it off!
Many thanks to you and Don!

Hello Shelley:
Bob Morgan here. I have purchased from you folks a couple times in the past, always with perfect satisfaction. I have tried other manufacturers, but I always return to Ted Blocker when I want complete satisfaction. I have learned my lesson and will now stay with you folks for my leather needs. Your products are well made, reasonably priced, and elegant yet functional and simple: just the qualities I look for in any product.
I have placed this order because it fits my needs. a good holster that easily is removed when necessary as my life requires me to remove and store the weapon several times a day, then put it on again.
One special note: I noticed in the picture of this particular holster, the ST17 that the weapon is cocked and locked with the thumb break in place. I made the assumption that is how it will come for my 1911, as I prefer a thumb break between the cocked hammer and the weapon. Somehow I cannot get comfortable with the concept of carrying a weapon in a situation where its potential energy is just a "bump" away from converting to kinetic energy and accidental discharge; so this arrangement is perfect for me.
In closing, please be assured that although I may not be your highest volume customer, I am a very loyal customer when I find a supplier that treats me fair ( as you folks have), supplies a quality product at fair price, (as you folks do) and is approachable and easy to work with, as you all have been. I have several handguns, being a typical midwest redneck, and proud of it. I am always adding more, so you can count on future orders from me to outfit my collection with quality leather. I also refer others to your site every chance I get. As I say, I am very loyal when I find a business that "takes care of business" and its customers. This does not always mean the lowest price but service and product quality. And I do not shop "price" on something than i count on to preserve my life or those of my family.
A lengthy response to a simple order confirmation, I know, but i am sure you "hear about it" when someone is dissatisfied. I wanted you all to hear about it when someone is very satisfied and appreciates your work and craftsmanship. i would be grateful if you would pass along my compliments to everyone.
Maintain your customer service and quality products and I am your customer for life.
Thanks,
Bob Morgan,

Hi Don and Shelley:
Just a short note to tell you how much I appreciate your expertise, your Judgment Day rig and especially the personal service.
My SASS badge number is 61430 thus one can tell I'm a newbie regarding CAS. In October, I visited The Cowboys in Norco, CA, a SASS affiliated club. After attending two beginners classes I was hooked but then I needed to acquire CAS equipment which "necessitated" a visit to the 2004 Las Vegas SASS convention in December. Was I blown away with the quality dealers in the exhibition hall!
Purchasing the metal/wood hardware was easy but a rig that fit my body (33" waist etc) wasn't. After spending many hours chatting with holster manufactures, trying on various rigs, it was your expertise and fit of your contoured belt that resulted in an order for a Blocker Judgment Day rig plus accessories. Your suggestions were great including ordering 5 1/2" holsters even though I was going to order shorter holsters for my EMF GW II 4 3/4" barrels. The rig looks fantastic with the longer holsters!
The rig and accessories are a joy to use and I get lots of compliments about their quality and appearance. Thanks for making available quality leather goods for us cowboys.

So comfortable I forget it's there
Hi gang,
With the advent of warmer weather I found my Ruger P-90 in my Bianchi Black Widow belt slide a bit too hard to conceal, so I started looking at other methods.
Although I have used shoulder rigs before, they don't really fit my life style, so I decided to try IWB.
Went to the local sportsmans warehouse and had some good help from a sales man. They didn't have anything in leather IWB for the Ruger and since I wasn't sure if I could carry IWB I didn't want to spend a lot of bucks and order one.
I ended up with an Uncle Mikes nylon Sidekick. It was unbelievably comfortable but would not always stay on the belt when I drew. So once I knew I could carry IWB I started looking at other options.
I chose a DA3 from Ted Blocker leather and am most happy. It comes with 2 sets of clips, one that holds the gun pretty high and tight but doesn't allow you to tuck your shirt. The other is lower and tuckable.
After using the untuckable for a few days I tried the tuckable set. They allow the weapon to ride a little lower and it doesn't abuse my ribs like the other clips. These clips go under the belt and use J hooks.
I cannot believe how comfortable this rig is. I can't remember the last time I have felt a need to check the position of my CCW when in public and have completely quit tugging at my shirt to make sure my weapon is covered.
The folks at Ted Blocker are super people. The DA3 for the P90 doesn't come with a thumb break but when I said I wanted one they designed one into the holster at no extra charge.
I was so impressed by the quality and workmanship that I sprang for a belt at the same time.
I have a pancake holster for a 1911 from them that I have had for several years and have been extremely happy with.
If you are looking for quality leather, at a good price, from nice folks, give them a call 503-670-7972 or visit their website.
I have no connection with them other than the quality of their work and the manner in which I was treated as a customer.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Brown,
As you know, we entered the 2004 California Police Olympics-Pacific Grove Motorcycle Competition representing the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. The event was held on April 2-3, 2004 in Pacific Grove California, and consisted of a riding course, uniform and motorcycle inspection, riding time course and the overall score. The motorcycle course was approximately 600 feet in length and required us to ride around and through two parked cars, and then come to a full stop, then continue through 14 cones, which were set 27 feet apart side by side, another full stop and then continues through a set cone pattern. After completing this, we had to go back through the same course to the end. It was timed and they took the average time of the two runs. This event was looking for speed and precision synchronization.
The inspection consisted of United States Marines inspecting our uniforms and motorcycles. This required them to use q-tips to wipe around our motorcycles. This three-hour event required us to stand at attention. Once the uniform inspection was complete and we completed the motorcycle course we moved to the awards ceremony.
We are grateful to you for providing us with the holsters necessary to compete in this event. With your help, we took a bronze in the uniform inspection, silver in the timed course, a bronze for synchronization and a bronze for overall performance. We could not have done this well without your help and assistance. As a special thank you we place Ted Blocker Holsters Inc. information on our banner, which we placed on the side of our trailer. We cannot thank you and your organization enough for the support and well wishes.
We had fun and both took our families to this event. We had a group of people and officers from many jurisdictions there to assist us with logistics. We plan to compete again next year and look forward to taking the gold medal.
We are providing you with this photographic and souvenir computer disc as a token of our appreciation. Thank you again for your support.
Sincerely,
Deputy Scott McCarney

Hi,
Got the belt today and had to compliment you on your service...and to tell you that I have never been more happy with a product! The belt is more than I imagined..the craftmanship is superior and I can see why people deal with you folsk...the antique brown matches my old antique cartridge belt perfectly and I think I will redye my holsters to match. the shells fit perfectly and the belt is exactly the right size...you were concerned about that and I appreciate it. If I every need any other leather jobs you can be sure I will contact you . Thank you again from a very satisfied customer. You folks are artists at what you do.

My Dear Friends,
I received my
holster today. Note, I say my holster, not your holster.
I looked it over closely. I noted the color, the workmanship, the
design, and fit. I determined that it was everything that it could
and should be. It is everything Ive come to know a Ted Blocker
holster to be .simply perfect! Needless to say, I am tickled
with it! Thank you for all the effort I know you went to producing
this beauty. I can see how hard it was to cut this to just the right
dimensions to make it work. You obviously went the distance. Your
concern and diligence is what keeps us all coming back. You are
a craftsman without compare, the journeyman of your trade.
I will wear
this holster with pride and confidence. I will trust my life to
it. I can pay it no higher tribute. I will state its
a Blocker! with quiet pride when I am asked.
Nuff said.
Gratefully,
Kevin C
Hi Shelley,
Received the LFI rig a few weeks ago. Fit and finish is superb and
the lined belt carries my Browning Hi-Power perfectly. This is a
really neat rig. I feel it doesn't get enough press in the gun magazines.
It's a perfect rig for civilians as it so easy to put the weapon
or take it off. Suck in the tummy, pull up on the holster breaking
loose the velcro, take off the weapon lock in the dash when you
have to, reverse the process to put the weapon back in place. A
very simple procedure. Thanks for making a quality product at a
reasonable price. Good luck with your business in the future.

Shelley, since
I got the Judgment Day rig I have placed in Annual Matches as
follows:
1st
place Modern - Fort Miller Shootout
1st place Modern - Richmond roundup
2nd place Modern - Ambush at Durham Ferry
1st place Modern - Funs of the Timberlands
3rd place Modern - John Wayne Shootout
4th place Modern - Cal. State Championships at 5 Dogs Creek.
I am just finishing
my 2nd year in SASS, the only other shooting I have done
was over 20 years ago when I shot a practice IPSC match, so this
is really
the only shooting I have done.
The new rig
has really allowed me to improve my times by letting me
concentrate on shooting rather than worrying about equipment issues.
Thank
you for your attention to detail and knowing what a SASS shooter
needs to
make steady improvement.

I
have a very fine holster set which was made for me about 3 years
ago by Don at Ted Blocker Holster. It is a beautiful rig which earns
complements at every match I attend. It has served me well in Cowboy
action shooting for 3 years and is in new condition still. Don does
top quality work and I would eagerly recommend him to anyone who
wants a finely crafted holster rig. This rig will outlast me and
become a family heirloom after I am long gone.
